Family In Faith's Women's Ministry

Welcome to R.E.A.L. Women!

Relationship, Encouragement, Accountability, and Laughter—that is our goal for this new women’s ministry launching in January 2018.

Join us for a short DVD on Adorned: Living out the Beauty of the Gospel Together, discussion, and a service project on:

Sunday, January 21, 2018
6-7:30 pm
Family In Faith Church

Please plan on having dinner at home and joining us for dessert, coffee or tea. Bring your Bible as the DVD includes a Bible study (or you may use one from church). We’d love to have everyone there, so if childcare or transportation is needed, please let us know.

Children’s Ministry

Children are a vital part of Family In Faith! We strive to provide children fun and educational ways to know and love Jesus as their Savior. Sunday School is offered during the school year while Children’s Church is offered year-round.

Sunday School (preschool–5th grade) meets at 9:15 am on Sunday
mornings. Each week, the children enjoy hands-on learning in a
combined-age classroom setting.

Children’s Church (age 4–4th grade) is offered on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month during the 10:30 am service.

Nursery care is provided during the 10:30 am worship service for babies
and preschoolers up to age 5.

The ABBA ministry here at Family in Faith serves the child-care needs of more than 30 families in our community, allowing single parents as well as traditional nuclear families the opportunity to better themselves, as well as offering a Christian upbringing for their children.  The children sing songs, play games, and learn in a loving atmosphere, with a staff of trained care-givers.  They have Jesus time everyday as well as special events throughout the year.  Learn more by visiting ABBA’s web page.

Music Team

Every week, a good ten people put their talents and time to great use in shaping our Sunday morning worship experience. But the goal isn’t to put on a show—not at all. Every week, musicians, vocalists, and other artists come together to create a place where God can receive praise from His people and where these same people can receive His truth, His love and His grace in return. That is why they gather; that is worship.

If you are a musician, a vocalist, an actor, or an artist of any stripe or skill, you are welcome to see if Worship is God’s place for you.

Family In Faith is committed to continually reaching out to others, both in our community and around the globe. We support a changing group of ministries by giving away 10% of all the offerings received. Some of the missions we currently support are:

Voice of Care
Prison Ministry
MOST Ministries
Neighborhood Food Pantries

Our mission is to help young people maintain and grow in their relationship with God. When kids reach a certain age, it sometimes seems as if they speak a different language and it can be difficult for adults to reach them emotionally. Adolescence can be a difficult time as kids try to find themselves and their place in the world. Our children face a lot of peer pressure and negative outside influences and need all the love and support which only family and a solid belief in God can give. This is when a strong faith in Jesus has an impact. Family In Faith wants to offer a safe hangout for young people to take a break and have real, open discussions and loads of fun! The youth have also gone on mission trips as a group.

Food Pantry

Since 2005, Family In Faith has given away 100,000 pounds of food per year to more than 2,000 different families. We are committed to serving those in need in our community, and are in the process of planning for a permanent Food Distribution Building so we can expand this outreach.

We can always use volunteers for the Pantry: to distribute food, to help register guests, to pray, to serve coffee, to translate, to work behind the scenes. Contact the church office (630-653-5030) or email Don Summers if you would like to help in some way.

A team of six individuals prays for ALL prayer requests received every week. We believe that there is great power in prayer, and we’re committed to continually praying for the needs of those who we are in touch with.

We have a prayer team available during the Lord’s Supper at the 10:30am worship, ready to pray for anyone who desires direct and immediate prayer.

The men hold a breakfast the first Saturday every month, to encourage each other spiritually, share concerns, stresses, and burdens, and to pray with and for each other.
