In the heart of the Christian there needs to be a two-part dynamic always going on. That dynamic is repentance and faith. At any given time, a Christian has to be responding to a sight of his or her sin with repentance, and defining what it is. The next two weeks, we are going to talk about the plus side of the cycle, which is faith. Faith is finding your identity in Christ. We set our mind on him. But how do we do that? This is so critical that we will spend several weeks looking at what this means.
Consider memorizing this verse-
Repent and be baptized, everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
Gayle and Don Sommerfeld went on their first short term missions team in 1989. Little did they know that God was calling them to begin a short-term missions ministry- Mission Opportunities Short Term ( MOST Ministries). Be amazed as Gayle shares what it was like to bring medical care to Haitians, used eyeglasses to Leper colonies in India, Hospice care to post communist Latvia and so much more!
Also learn about the four year process of writing the book Beyond Sight— the inspiring autobiography that tells her incredible story, revealing how God uses ordinary people to do the extraordinary.

It is finally happening. After raising funds for more than 5 years, we are going to break ground on a new food pantry building. Plans have been submitted to the Village, and we are through the first review. There are some revisions, but things are moving forward.
We are having a special ground breaking ceremony on Sunday, July 24, at 12:30pm. Mayor Linda Jackson will cut the ribbon, several key people in the project will break ground, there will be vocalists, music, balloons and lots of good food. Come to worship at 10:30 and stay afterwards to mark this special day in the life of our church. Absolutely EVERYONE is invited to come and celebrate with us.
Youth at Family In Faith are parking cars in our lot this Sunday, July 17, for those who want to go to the fest. This is a great way for them to raise funds for a service trip. If you are going to the Fest on Sunday, consder parking in our lot and helping out the youth. Parking costs $7 in the field and $10 in the front for VIP Parking.
Youth group activities every Sunday evening at Family In Faith, 7-8:30pm
Come check us out- no need to attend the church- just come for youth group Sundays 7:00-8:30pm.
All kids, Grades 6-12, are invited to join us on Sunday evenings for games and devotions.
